To meet its customers’ high expectations, ASI has made significant investments to create world class operations from processing through distribution.
Processing
More than 80 million pounds are grated, shredded, cut, sliced and cupped in two state-of-the-art processing facilities, one in Elgin, Illinois and the other in Fairfield, New Jersey. The Elgin facility is USDA and Government approved, and both facilities receive the highest scores in outside quality audits.
Distribution
ASI operates two world class, national distribution centers, one in Edison, New Jersey and one in Elgin, Illinois. A new warehouse management system, Red Prairie, offers a suite of complementary products which enable the company to meet the needs of all customers, including those with the most sophisticated, just-in-time distribution networks of their own. Order tracking is visible to customers.
Quality Assurance
Arthur Schuman Inc. can claim that its Quality Assurance program monitors all cheese from vat through processing, then to the customer’s doorstep. Few, if any other companies, in this industry can make this claim for imported as well as domestically- produced products. ASI facilities meet all HAACP and bio-terrorism requirements and ASI consistently receives the highest ratings from outside auditing firms.
