ASI’s Quality Assurance Department is the critical link to ensure that each customer receives its products at the highest possible standard. ASI has, and continues to make significant investments in its Q.A. Department to support its world class production.
ASI is the only company of its kind which can assure continuity of quality control every step of the way, from the original cheese production through delivery to its customers. Long-term relationships with vendors ensure this coordination. ASI facilities meet all bio-terrorism, HAACP, Federal, State and local requirements and ASI consistently earns top scores in audits performed by outside professionals and/or customer Q.A. Departments.
The Quality
Assurance Program
at ASI Includes:
milk - For pesticides, fat, plate count.
Records are kept by tank.
Cheese Production - For yeast, mold, microbiological and bacteriological.
At Export - Lab reports are maintained for all shipments.
Receipt Audit - Re-testing to verify information, maintained by lot.
ASI Production - Tests raw & finished product, chemical, microbiological, bacteriological.
Distribution Centers
ASI operates two distribution centers, one in Edison, New Jersey and one in Elgin, Illinois, with nearly round-the-clock operations to receive and distribute products. In Edison alone, more than 190 million pounds pass through the facility which includes more than 4,300 inbound containers and loads of cheese each year. More than 20,000 customer orders are processed and shipped during operations.
A cutting-edge warehouse management system offers improved efficiency and shortens the turn around time for orders. ASI is well-prepared to accommodate customers’ growing demand for just-in-time inventory.
The new warehouse management system manages route planning and provides sophisticated functionality to optimize trailer cubes.
